About

Established for over 25 years, the Sack Store inherits its name from the historic building that is home to the business. It was built in the heart of Lincolnshire to supply sacks to the farmers and potato growers in the region. Deliberately situated next to the railway line near the docks, Sack Store sacks full of potatoes were distributed up and down the country as far as Aberdeen and London.

The building has been lovingly and sensitively restored and preserved by Chris Isaac and remains a privately owned family store and cafe that is unique in every way. “Our customers are loyal” says Chris, “they love coming to the Sack Store we love seeing familiar and new faces. Many of our customers travel a long distance to pay us a visit and frequently make a day of it”.

The staff in the Sack Store provide a personal and individual service, they will spend time with you, help you choose what’s best for you and advise you at every stage. They will even carry your purchases to the car. At the Sack Store, whether you are in the shop or the cafe, customer satisfaction is a priority and if ever we do get it wrong, we hope you will tell us so that we can put things right.

In 2013, Chris bought Stamford Garden Centre, a sister store to the Sack Store where you will find a sample of the stoves and furniture that can be found in the Sack Store as well as a butchers, superb cafe (please book if you are thinking of paying a visit), a garden centre and a magnificent new building that houses a huge range of garden furniture, Farrow and Ball paint and accessories for the home and garden. Also on site is a car wash, a beauty and treatment room, a hairdressers (opening soon), a florist and interior design business.
